What I Am Discovering During The Pandemic – KCRC Online Service for May 17, 2020.

  A fingerprint is used to identify, DNA even more so. Other ways we are identified in this world may be by our family of origin, our culture, our appearance, or status. But if you were asked what is your identity in Christ? What would your answer be? A positive outcome of this pandemic is the opportunity to rediscover our attitudes and priorities and “who we are in Christ” and “what we have in Christ”. 

We welcome Pastor Shawn Ketcheson back as our guest preacher. Grab you bible we will be reading from Philippians 2:5-8. We hope you can join us.

And, hey, once this COVID crisis is safely over, and live worship resumes (yes, we’ll let you know), we’d love to have you join us in person for worship.
We usually gather each Sunday at 10am.
Don’t worry about getting all gussied up.  Just come as you are – we’re a church full of imperfect people.
And we’d be glad to have other imperfect people, like you, along for the ride! STAY TUNED – we’ll let you know just as soon as Sunday, in-person worship resumes.

Who Am I? Loved!

One thing that virtually everyone wants, needs, craves is…..
Well, it’s something that’s part of our identity as followers and friends of Jesus.
There’s an old song that talks about looking for it in all the wrong places – and coming out of the experience all messed up. Which happens a lot.
It’s….. being loved.
Somewhere, deep inside, we all shrivel up if we don’t have at least some love poured into our lives.
We need it as infants.
We need it as elderly.
And we need it in between.
Ephesians 5:22-33 helps us connect with how God, through Jesus, pours love into our lives in rich ways.
It also helps us understand how to respond to that love from God by expressing and living love to others, beginning at home with our kids and our life partners.
March 3, 2019 – that’s when we examined this bible passage and considered how God’s love looks and feels – both in our lives as we receive it, and as we pass it on.
