Children’s Worship

Children ages 3 – Grade 1 meet every  Sunday at 10:00am  for Children’s Worship.  Children ages Grade 2-Grade 5 meet at every other week for JAM-Jesus and Me! This is an hour for your child(ren) to worship on their level under the guidance of dedicated teachers. This takes place in children worship areas where there is plenty of room for planned activities.

We invite all children to join in as we Dig into the Heart of God and discover what it means to reflect the heart of God in everyday life.

April 10, 2022 –  Guest Pastor Craig Hoekema shares a beautiful Children’s message this morning about how God allows us to go through really hard things, things that might make us feel like He doesn’t love us, or care for us.  But, if there is one thing we learn from the Bible is that God will allow us to go through these hard things because He knows he is accomplishing good things for us in our life.  You can watch the message here.

December 12, 2021 –  Children’s Worship Live and JAM (Jesus and Me) meets in person this Sunday morning at the church, 10 AM.  This is the last live children’s worship before Christmas and we are celebrating Jesus’s birthday.  Join us at the stable and hear the greatest story ever told.

It’s not always easy for us to be generous, is it?  Sometimes even sharing with others can be a challenge.  Generosity is giving above and beyond what most people would consider reasonable.  This weeks video, Tori will be sharing the story of A Widow Who Shares Her Last Bread (1 Kings 17:8-16)  God’s generous heart in how he provided for the widow…and in everything he has given to you and me. November  14, 2021 –  Children’s Worship Live and JAM (Jesus and Me) meets in person this Sunday morning at the church, 10 AM.  Plan on joining us for a hour of song, story and activity.

We’ve learned so much already about the Heart of God and we keep learning how awesome our God is.  God provides food for Elijah, is the story this week from 1 Kings 17: 1-6.  We learn that God is our provider, so…we depend on him.

November 7, 2021 –  Children’s Worship and JAM (Jesus and Me) Lesson this week is by video only.   Tori has put another exciting video together of song, games and bible story to teach us more about the Heart of God.

This week’s lesson is from 2 Samuel 9, in which we see David showing kindness to Mephibosheth, the son of David’s friend Jonathon.  It is a beautiful story in which we learn God is kind, so…we are kind.

Week 18: God is praiseworthy, so…we celebrate him

October 31, 2021 – Children ages 3 1/2- Grade 1 meet this Sunday morning at 10:00am  for Children’s Worship Live.  Children ages Grade 2-Grade 5 meet at this time as well for JAM-Jesus and Me!

This week’s lesson is from 2 Samuel 6.  We celebrate with David and the Israelites as God has returned the ark of the covenant to them.  There is celebration David dances…God is praiseworthy, so …we celebrate him.   We invite you to come and celebrate God with us…it promises to be a great party.

Week 17: God values people, so…we value people

October 24, 2021 – This Sunday is a video lesson Sunday for Children’s Worship. The Wilderness Escape series has ended but our journey learning about the Heart of God continues.

The summary bible verse for this week  is “So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows” (Matthew 10:31)

We will be spending some time with David.  The lesson comes from (1 Samuel 24; 26) David is hiding from King Saul, their paths cross in this story, it is a nail biter…join Tori as we learn that God values people, so….we value people.

Week 16: God is real, so…we believe he’s the one true God

October 17, 2021 – Join us this Sunday for an hour of Children’s Worship Live as we continue to learn more about the Heart of God.

The Philistines army have captured the ark of God…is the way the bible story for this week starts. You’ll want to join Tori as she continues the story from 1 Samuel 5: 1-5.  God is real…so we believe he’s the one true God.    There won’t be a video this week but we sure hope you will be able to join us LIVE in the main hall at the church at 10:00am.  There is lots of space for all the activities and space for following safety guidelines.  If you have any questions, Tori can be reached at youth@kcrc.ca

 

 

Week 15: God Guides Us, So…Trust God!

October 10, 2021 –  Today is our last week with our friends the Israelites in Wilderness Escape.  This week  Tori and Alyssa with the help of some friends share the story of when God gave the Israelites Ten Commandments or rules to help and guide them.  God’s rules and commands keep us protected and safe.  What a great feeling to know God’s word shelters us.  God Guides Us, So…Trust God.

Week 14: God speaks, so…we listen for him

October 3, 2021 – Join us this Sunday for an hour of Children’s Worship Live as we continue to learn more about the Heart of God.

In this weeks lesson we turn in the Bible to 1 Samuel 3.  This story is amazing in that  God comes and speaks to Samuel who is very young, only about 12 years old.  We learn that God speaks…so we listen for him.    There won’t be a video this week but we sure hope you will be able to join us LIVE in the main hall at the church at 10:00am.  There is lots of space for all the activities and space for following safety guidelines.  If you have any questions, Tori can be reached at youth@kcrc.ca

 

 

Week 13: God Saves Us, So…Trust God!

September 26, 2021 – Join us this week online by video as we continue our journey of Wilderness Escape.

Tori and Alyssa are again joined by Moses and Malachi who tell us how the Israelites came to be in the desert and the story of the Passover. We learn how how God watches over us and provides for us God Saves Us, So…Trust God.

Week 12: God is our Defender, so…we can defend others

September 19, 2021 – Join us this Sunday for an hour of Children’s Worship Live as we continue to learn more about the Heart of God.

Week 11: God Gives Us Strength, So…Trust God!

September 12, 2021 – Join us this week online by video as we continue our journey of Wilderness Escape.

Tori and Leanne share songs, bible memory verse, a craft  and tell the bible story how the the Israelites are again in battle, this time with the Amalekites (Exodus 17). We learn how through tough times and in times of weakness God Gives Us Strength, So…Trust God!

Week 10: God is Special, and….he has the ability to change us

September 5, 2021 – Join us this Sunday for an hour of Children’s Worship Live as we continue to learn more about the Heart of God.

Tori will be sharing how God is Special.  Moses sees God’s holiness as told in Exodus 33-34. Week 9: God Gives Us What We Need, So…Trust God!

August  29, 2021 – We hope you have been enjoying Kid’s Summer Series Online, Tori and her friends sure enjoy having you join in the fun each week.   So we are back in the Wilderness Escape, a journey with God’s people the Israelites through the desert to the promised land. This week we hear the Israelites whining, they are hungry.  We learn God Gives Us What We Need, So… Trust God!

Week 8: God is Loyal, so…we’re loyal

August 22, 2021 – Come join us this week for an hour of Children’s Worship Live.

This Sunday Tori will be sharing a lesson that shows us that God is Loyal. Week 7: God is With Us, So…Trust God!

August 15, 2021 – So glad you are able to join us this week as we continue Kid’s Summer Series Online.   This week we are taking part in Wilderness Escape, a journey with God’s people the Israelites through the desert to the promised land.   We meet Moses and Malachi who remind us of a time the Israelites were afraid but they trusted God.  When we are scared or alone remember God is With Us, So…Trust God!

Week 6 God Shows Grace, so…we show grace

August 8, 2021 – This week we are excited for an hour of Children’s Worship Live.

Week 5: God Doesn’t Change, so…we trust him when we are unsure

August 1, 2021 – Welcome to this week’s video where we again check in with Moses this week in Exodus 3 & 4.  We see that God does big things through people, even us.  Is God asking something big of you?  We can’t always see what God sees but we can trust that what we know about him to be true will stay the same.   When everything around us is changing we can trust that God Doesn’t Change.

Week 4: God is All Powerful, so…we respect him

July 25, 2021 – If you had to choose between a house full of frogs or a house full of bugs, which would you choose?  In this week’s video Tori teaches how God reveals His power to us.  We look in the bible at Exodus 7 and 8, the story of the ten plagues, a story that shows God is All Powerful.

Week 3: God is Giving, so…we’re giving

July 18, 2021 – Every good and perfect gift is from above. James 1: 17   In this week’s video Tori and Alyssa spend some time making a list of the good things God has given them.  What would your list look like?  What are you thankful for?  Our bible story is from Genesis 13, where we meet Abram who finds out that God is Giving.

Week 2- God is the Greatest, and…we don’t need to be

July 11, 2021 – Pride… conceit… big words… and for Johnny it means a “big head”.  Join Tori for this week’s video and learn that Johnny and maybe even ourselves might just be like some busy builders we meet in Genesis 11 who forgot something very, very important.   God is the Greatest!

Note: before watching you may want to have ready, newspaper, tape and a deck or two of playing cards.

July 4, 2021 – What does a can of corn, some matches, a diaper and dish soap have in common?   Any ideas?  Join us this week as we see how we created to be creative because God is Creative.
